What is bird-a-thon?
Bird-a-thon is our annual fundraiser. From April 13th to 21st, four teams will go birding and tally the collective number of species seen. Donors can participate through a per species pledge or a flat donation. The teams will compete for who earns the most donors. This year, donors are eligible for prizes! Keep reading to learn about the 2024 teams and prizes.

Donation Tiers
- Species count for the per-species donations is of all OREGON teams combined. This will likely range from 135-200 species. If you donate to the eCampus team, you'll donate based on the eCampus Eider's species count rather than the Oregon teams' count. This could be highly variable since members are all across the country, but you will receive a surprise additional thank you gift if you donate to the eCampus Eiders!
- The team that receives the most pledges will get Bird Nerds merch and a feature video that will be posted on our socials!
- All donors will receive a thank you note and photo from your team of choice!
- Money will be collected after the Bird-a-thon ends on April 21st.
